    not on today’s air condition systems. if you don’t have manifold guages to hook up to the system. you can tell by putting your hand on the dryer. it should be warm to the touch.

    If you suspect the dryer blocked it will act as a restriction, If the inlet
    line is warm to the touch with the a/c operating the outlet tube will be cold. This means it is restricted. The pressure drop across it is
    causing the difference in Temperature. Replace it after reclaiming the
    refrigerant and evacuate the system before recharging it, HTH
