I have had units like this. They work the same way as all air conditioners, they remove heat and humidity from one room and place into other ( outside ). You will have to modify your window to accept the vent. You could get someone to install a dryer vent exhaust thru the wall.</description>

the portable ac, is it a window unit or really a portable , because they make those , maybe wallmart , . a window unit needs to have its back half out the window because of the heat it produces in the condensation  process. portable i believe is just like a dehumidifier and bucket.</description>
