There are plenty of good brands. My company dealt with Trane, Carrier, etc. but I worked on cheap brands like Janitrol which can last 20 years without a problem

There are certain things you need to take into consideration when purchasing these major appliances for your home!

Where do you live? hot and dry or hot and humid?

If you live in a dryer climate then Central air is expensive to put in but the is the best quality and I would recommend a Lenox or a Rhem. The other option you have to get a swamp cooler and mount it in window or on your roof 9more installation) but it is the cheapest way to go, on the “name brand” part of it there really is no go or bad brand!

If you live an a hot and humid area then you will have to have central air and once again I recommend lennox or rhem units.

Always shop it though call local Mechanical contractors and have them come to your home for free estimates, some times they will give you better deals if you have them done a once! I know the company I work for does price match Garnette so you might want to look into it locally and then go from there depending on the type of area you live
