Central Air Conditioning Vs Fans
I have a central air conditioning system .. can I save money?
by selecting the "fan" there vs. CA … these are my only two options. and the AC is running the bill .. just try to find ways to reduce costs even if it means having the AC off and run the option on the fan unit itself. any help is appreciated. thank you very much .. I already run the ceiling fans and other fans standing .. my question is mainly for fans of the AC unit itself. many right answers. and I like the CA that we live in the "Deep South" and it is 100 degrees today. thank you for the posts so far.
With Texas time even today. My thermostat has a fan and motor as well. other switch is hot / cold / off. When I put it to COOL AUTO & it will turn the A / C on when too much heat in the house and he turns on fan to blow air cooled. I keep my switches COOL & FAN, then when A / C off, the fan still blows and circulates air. I keep the fan running almost 24 hours per day throughout the year (like A / C or HEAT shots periodically for different seasons). I found this to be an option cheaper in Texas. The air circulates constantly (if A / C is running at the same time) makes home feel cooler for me. I asked a man / C if it was bad for the fan motor and he said he's fine, they must all be replaced or repaired often. It's been 10 years and it works forever. My last electricity bill (electricity, water, sewage, garbage combined) was $ 137 for a 3 bedroom house with refrigerator, washer, dryer, LCD TV, computer and electrical main draw with A / C. Furthermore, I'm insomniac with lamps at night. Our house was built in 1955 and we have never isolated -. Neighbors still $ to 300 $ 500 bills. So I just stick with what works for me.
