Central Air Conditioning Overflow Pan

I have the central air conditioning in my house. I noticed today that a drip pan "below unit?

located in the attic is half water and I can see drops of water in it. I also noticed a piece of PVC pipe on my second floor is dripping with droplets of water on the floor below. I think there is a blockage somewhere in the lines in this system. How do I go about stopping this leak (fixing the lock) before I eventually overflow pan? Thank you.

The pan below your unit is there to take the condensate that accumulates if your condensate drain is clogged regularly. you'll need to clear the blockage in the condensate drain regularly so it can flow. Often times slime or sludge accumulating in the drain and cause a blockage. You can avoid this by paying a small amount of bleach down the drain every two months. This will help prevent silt from accumulating.
