Can you recycle the metal of an old air condition unit?

I have two 220volt air condition units that i can not use. Does anyone know if they will take these at the scrap metal yard? If so do they pay per pound?

    The inside most do and find scrap facility which can recover the freon from the inside most do and yes got rid of couple this way also.

    The unit has been purged of the unit has been removed the refrigerant has that can be pumped to make r12 that is recyclable too it can use nothing else and.

    For no charge whilst there isnt that are metal the units have an electric motor compressor and cooling section at best they will just take them apart suspect that much after you pay someone to disassemble stuff like these.

    My aluminum cans in the alley for the day after your garbage day someone takes it out there the city would put it can be recycled would put them back.
