Different outlets?
I looked through the answers and have not found what I'm looking for. I just moved into an apartment in New York and I have problems with 2 air conditioners I just bought. We have two outlets and in a room, they coincide with air conditioners, they have two horizontal spindles and then the third prong level. My other room was a normal three outlet dampers with two columns. Is it possible that I can buy some sort of converter to allow use in the other room? Are there alternatives Possible? It would be an incredible pain to have to return one of these since I ordered it. Thank you in advance! Thank you for the reply fast already! After a little research I found most to my AC Volt is a 250 / 15 Amp. Is this even feasible? 230/208 is ok and I guess only 15 amps. What do you think?
The A / C cord on the units you have purchased are 240V/15A. They are this way because they need more power than can be provided by regular 115V / 15A outlet. So you can not convert them … not enough power, sorry. You must get an A / C unit that needs less energy and can therefore use the 115V outlet.
