Pontica Grand Am 2000 – problems with cooling?

A / C clutch will not engage, but is magnetized. Clutch coil is magnetized any time the fan is on. I checked the coolant and it is level. I can manually engage and remain lit until what the car is off or the fan is off. Try using the A / C stop button inside the car nothing. I checked the diode and relay and both are working within normal parameters. The tests that I have not finished yet is to bypass the PCM by connecting the clutch to the battery (be the cable to be tested) and I have not done any type of control PCM (I have not equipment). Please help if you can. Thank you.

If your magnetic coil means it gets electricity through your A / C. which means that it is current through 1. Blower / fan should be switched to send a signal to a compressor / C 2.A / C refrigerant pressure is sufficient 3.Thermostat should dial indicating more cooling is required. When these conditions satisfy, there is a relay to initiate and pass a required voltage. A / C compressor 2. Condenser / auxiliary fan you get some sort of effect current and magnet on your compressor because it gets the electricity so I guess your system is allowed to relay. it may be the current through the relay is not sufficient. check this. sufficient if the health check of the coil is located below the clutch of the compressor which generates the magnetic field. If the coil is good and provides a magnetic effect sufficient to verify the safety of your compressor clutch if it can grasp the pulley. mind you it can be as simple as loosening the bolt holding the compressor / c clutch in place. Good luck with diagnosis
