Air Conditioning Electrical Loads
any body can answer about trane air conditioning unit?
I need some electrical specification on this unit.
it is a commercial Trane: model SXhfc6040 -variable volume air conditioning unit. I want to know what’s the Horse Power rating or the full load current. It’s a 3-phase 460 volts. Thanks

Most Tranes that are 3-phase of 460 volts carry 60Hz and require a minimum circuit capacity of 14.0 amps.
We have a Trane (not this model, but still a 460 volt) and that’s what the electrician told me we needed to upgrade to if we wanted an air conditioner.
Otherwise, I don’t know anything else about them.
