Hello,
I have room air conditioners and and they are in the wall, they are wall units. They are very nice ac and they are dual function, but unfortunately, they give a very loud voice annoying. so we are looking to replace the ac I wanna know if it is possible to install on of those window ac units n place of wall units. so if i buy an ac from a store which is supposed to be for window, cal i put in in my wall? also,how many btus ac would i need for a room that is around 18×17 give or take a couple. pls inform soon. thanks

NO. Those wall units are designed to vent straight out the back. Window units vent out the sides and sometimes the bottom. This would severely limit your air flow. That would void your warranty and burn the unit out. It could even cause a fire.
Replace it with what is there. You can buy the unit separate from the wall sleeve.
